((READ)) OK, let me get some things straight...

The comments and my answers::

"That is NOT Lolita. Thanks to Gwen Stefani and our friends at Hot Topic, the West has a badly-skewed idea of what Gothic Lolita truly is. It's not mallgoth with some lace slapped on and pigtails. We don't sex up our outfits with low collars or off-the-shoulder tops and a corset. We don't wear "hair falls" or vinyl or fishnets or tiny skirts or French maid outfits with entirely too much cheap lace or any of the stereotyped misconceptions that most Americans seem to have about us."

"i must say i agree with the above comment. you got the look of the fashion COMPLEATLY wrong. fishnets? O.o
i think you need to look at some pictures for refrence...."

"Ahhh I think the one that does not know about lolita fashion is you."

Really not lolita.
Nice drawings.
But god.
You fail."

"No, seriously, girl you have to improve. And 'research' before you start something to a particular theme.
And Lolitas don't act like that."

--First of all, I don't know where the idea came from that I said my main character IS((right now, at the beginning)) a Lolita fashion designer. It's true that I said in my summary that she became interested in Gothic Lolita, but I did not say that she IS a designer RIGHT NOW. If she did, I really don't think her brother would want some of her designs to wear, now would he? [[Er.. he's not into Lolita]] I also said in the summary that her "designs dominate the Lolita world" ((or some such)). I shall explain it when the point in the story goes to it. Hmm.. I should change the wording in my summary if it leads to all these misunderstandings....

"And Lolitas don't act like that."

--((This refers to that girl in pigtails who's wearing the off the shoulder thingy.)) That's the whole point.-_-'' Because she, in fact, is not Lolita. I suppose it's my fault for not updating and leaving this story at this kind of point where I really don't have anything explained, but I will be moving on to other pages sooner or later. I wanted to introduce this character in such a way that's both rude and ridiculous not because I was trying to imply that Lolitas act like so, but because she isn't Lolita, and of course, wouldn't act like she is one. [[confusin now, but I promise it'll clear up.]]

"You need an anatomy book."

--Yes, I do need work on my anatomy, thank you. xD And for those who sent links to Lolita fashion sites, thank you. The clothing were very beautiful.

Aww... I actually read all of those things, and i feel kind of sad now... I don't care about the misconception of lolitaness, if there even was any... well, I think that what interests me is the plot, and I think your art is great, and i think that you are not desperate for an anatomy book.

Just pretend that a bunch of people smacking jeeves were having a bad day!

I love your comic, please keep up the great work!

Don't Worry

Let not the masses cast aspersions upon your work. Keep your head high and your spirits higher.

Wow, I'm impressed. That came out of me before 9:30 in the morning!

:::ahem::: Anyway, don't let it get to you. Anytime you deal with a certain culture or subculture or whatever, you're going to get the naysayers. There are always people who think they know more than you when in reality they know only a narrow view of things.

So don't take the negative comments to heart. If they have something constructive to say, listen. Otherwise, ignore them.

"What do PREPS know about lolita fashion?"

The girl in the off-shoulder outfit tells the main character, "What do PREPS know about lolita fashion?" This implies that the outfit is meant to be lolita. That scene is what suggests that the main character is supposed to be a lolita fashion designer. What the dissenters are saying is that -- IF this is your concept of lolita fashion -- you have completely the wrong idea, and you should do some research so you know precisely what lolita fashion looks like, because this is not it.

So, from my understanding of your explanation, you intended that scene to demonstrate what lolita fashion does NOT look like, and how lolitas do NOT think and behave. Is that the case? I must say that this was not my understanding when I read through your comic. It just looked like you mislabeled a somewhat frilly goth outfit as loli. Perhaps you should add some dialogue, such as the main character saying, "But...it's not lolita fashion! ^__^;"

I don't know. I think your comic has potential, and your art looks cute, but it gives the wrong impression.

I really love your comic! Your anatomy is fine, your art is great, and your story is wonderful so it doesn't matter what other people say, only what you believe. ^_._^

Well, just ignore all those idiots with sticks up their butts. They're stupid, and don't deserve your attention. ^_^ I, personally, think your style is cute, your anatomy is fine, and I couldn't care less about "proper lolita fashion" or whatever. And as to the "ZOMG Lolitas don't act like that!" thing...you can't generalize like that. There are nice preps and happy emo people and all sorts of things like that. So screw you and screw your labels.

*ahem* Right. 0_o;; Went off on a rant, there. Anyhoo, love the comic. ^_^ Keep it up, and don't mind the jerks who don't like it.

Right On!

I would just like to take a moment and say... Right on! You shouldn't have to take people's stupid little rants, and I congradulate you on a job well done in squeltching them.

Also: I have no concept of any one kind of fashion (I just wear what I like, no matter why 'type' it is)... But it's my opinion that people will act however they want to act... Lables or not. *Shrugs* Then again, I don't personally know any Lolita's to back this up, so... *Shrugs again* I dunno...

I DO know, however, that I'm enjoying this and I hope you update it again soon. I'll check back every so often until I see a new page.

To those 'tards that say that there's no such thing as "proper" lolita fashion, you're WRONG. Lolita fashion has rules, and if you break one of those rules, you are not lolita. You are the people that make lolita fashion look bad, and that's why we have communities that make fun of people that do it wrong. Plus, I bet the people that are giving comments like "just ignore them" are probably people that don't know better. If you disagree, then kiss my ass and get a better education.

No, I'm not bitter because I was raped or because I have no friends. People that think that are idiots. (BTW, HAPPY emo people? HAHAHAHAHA posers, nice job LABELING people. What are you, 14?)
